The Roseway Hospital Foundation in Shelburne has reached their fundraising goal to purchase new x-ray equipment.
A $100,000 contribution from the Roseway Hospital Auxiliary has pushed them over the goal of raising the $450,000 needed.
The funds will go towards purchasing a new digital radiography unit, which will give improved image quality with a smaller radiation dose for each x-ray performed.
Nova Scotia Health says digital radiography is a state-of-the-art form of x-ray imaging which produces a digital image instantly on a computer.
Contributions also came from municipal units, individuals, local businesses and organizations.
