The first event of the 2022 Lakeside Smallmouth Bass Club tournament season took place this weekend.
Twenty-five teams went out on Wentworth Lake in Digby County, Saturday.
Bobby Nickerson and Robin Symonds placed first with 9.62lbs in catches. Scott Nickerson and Rob Wells came second with 7.66 lbs and Terry Knox and Joe Muise placed third with 7.36lbs.
The big bass was caught by the team of Stephen and Conrad Corporon, weighing in at 2.68lbs.
Sixty-one bass were caught for a total weight of 91.88lbs.
The event was sponsored by Rob Nickerson Burner Service.
This weekend’s tournament was the first of ten.
