Court proceedings have started for the murder of a Stoney Island man in Pinkney’s Point.
Dillon Burton Deveau of North Chegoggin and Brooklyn Gavel of Pinkney’s Point both appeared in Yarmouth Provincial Court yesterday for a show cause hearing.
Both are charged with the first degree murder of Joseph Wickens, who’s remains were found in a home after it set on fire in March.
Deveau and Gavel will both return court on June 28th for another show cause hearing.
A third person facing the same charge, Michael Roland Surette of Pinkney’s Point, will return to Yarmouth Provincial Court on that day as well.
