Good Morning !

One of the great sights of living in or close to Yarmouth is the Cape Forchu Light House .

Just recently the Light has been opened up for those adventurous souls to ” Climb The Light ” People can Climb the only lighthouse in Nova Scotia that is open to public tours to the lantern room and enjoy a full panoramic view of Cape Forchu, Yarmouth Harbour, and the Atlantic Ocean!

Last year the Municipality of Yarmouth  opened it up so the general public can climb the stairs to the Top and take in the breath taking views for some Incredible photos  .

In case you were wondering ,It’s only 77 stairs to the Top !

If your spontaneous and like those unplanned adventures  you can arrive from 3 to 6 pm daily for a “Quick Climb” and take it all in . have no fear , you won’t be alone ,all tower climbs are accompanied by a guide, a limit of 6 people at a time . There are a couple restrictions ,You must be at least 48” tall and weigh less than 250 pounds. When you arrive just pop in to the keeper’s residence building to check in for your climb .
