RCMP are reminding Nova Scotians that they can be fined for driving a vehicle with tinted windshields, front side windows or licence plate covers.
They say after-market tinting can obstruct visibility. It also makes it harder for officers to see what’s going on inside a vehicle they are approaching.
The fine for operating a vehicle with tinted windows starts at $180.
And licence plate covers obstruct officers’ ability to read the letters and numbers fines for obstructing a license plate begin at $237.50.
