Today we celebrate the Telephone .
I can remember my first ” Cell Phone ” It was a 5watt Bag phone .

Over the years I have owned many different styles of phones at home .
In today’s world to call someone is almost an Emergency, with all the other ways of communication . Messaging and text have far outnumbered the ole phone call.
The world’s first long-distance telephone call was made in 1876 over 16 kilometers (10 miles) of telegraph wires between Brantford and Paris, Ontario. In 1880, the Bell Telephone Company of Canada was established in Montreal, and other companies providing local service in other cities sprung up across the country. To read more CLICK HERE
There are an estimated 16 billion mobile phones. And while some predicted the landline to be obsolete by now, there are still about 884 million of them. Today, call someone and wish them “Happy Telephone Day”.
