The Conservative Party of Canada is criticizing yesterday’s federal budget from the Liberal government.
West Nova Conservative MP and Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons Chris d’Entremont is sharing his reaction.
He says the budget was lacking in certain areas, particularly infrastructure.
“When it comes to like the Green and Inclusive Community Fund, which we were hoping will fund the Mariners Centre Expansion, we don’t necessarily see any extra funding there so we’re wondering how that impacts projects like the Mariners Centre.”
He also called attention to the price of housing, adding many young people can’t afford to enter the market.
d’Entremont says he concerned with rising inflation.
“Inflation is out of control and part of that is from the spending of government so we were kind of hoping to see a little bit of a stop of the overreaching that the government had been doing the last couple of years.”
He says the government needs some fiscal anchor to pay back some of their spending.
