Donations have been pouring in all day for the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation WE CARE Radiothon.
This year’s fundraising focus is to purchase new cardiac equipment for the Yarmouth Regional Hospital.
The total amount raised as of 5 p.m Friday is $171,205.
The money will be put towards purchasing an Echocardiography Unit, Transesophageal echocardiogram probe, cardiac stress test unit and stress echo bed.
Some donation highlights include $25,000 from the Tri-County Betterment Association and $10,000 from Garian Construction and Coastal Financial Credit Union.
In addition to collecting donations, there was also several items up for auction, including ties from Premier Tim Houston and Dr. Robert Strang, a signed cowboy hat from country music singer and actor Trace Adkins and an acoustic guitar signed by Jimmy Rankin.
This is the sixth year for the WE CARE Radiothon.
