A Yarmouth man has been charged with attempted murder in a shooting incident in New Brunswick.
Thirty-year-old Skylar Surette was arrested by the Codiac Regional RCMP Thursday, appearing in Moncton Provincial Court that day.
Earlier in the day, police responded to reports of shots fired in Moncton, finding a man with a gunshot wound. A suspect vehicle fled the scene and was pursued, ramming a police car in the process. The vehicle lost control and hit a snow bank. Surette and two others were arrested shortly after.
The victim was transported to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries according to the RCMP.
Surette has been remanded into custody and will return to court on February 11 for a bail hearing.
