A home on Parade Street in Yarmouth has been searched in relation to a drug trafficking investigation for the second time in three months.
Five people have been charged after a search warrant was served at the home on Monday.
Police searched and seized cocaine, pills, drug paraphernalia, and cash.
Those charged are:
- Frederick Henry Comeau, 57, of South Ohio
- John Marshall Hatfield, 60, of Yarmouth
- Corinne Marie Smith, 57, of Yarmouth
- Joan Kristin Hurlburt, 29, of Yarmouth
- Joshua Mark Smith, 27, of Yarmouth
They are all facing charges of Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking. They were released on conditions and will appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court on April 11.
The home was last searched in October of last year. Four of the five people charged were also charged following the October search.
The investigation was lead by the Yarmouth/Clare RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit with help from the Yarmouth RCMP General Investigation Section, Digby RCMP General Investigation Section, Yarmouth Rural RCMP, Yarmouth Town RCMP, Meteghan RCMP, RCMP Police Dog Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services.
The release from police did not indicate if the investigation is ongoing or not.
