Tomorrow is Remembrance Day. There are ceremonies all over the Tri-Counties, and indeed all over Canada and much of the world.
In Yarmouth town, there are two ceremonies; one at Mariners Centre and one at the Yarmouth Cenotaph, both at 10:45 am.
Masks and proof of vaccination will be required to attend the service at Mariners Centre. Wearing of masks at the Cenotaph service is highly encouraged.
If you can’t attend a Ceremony somewhere, Y95 will have a short feature leading up to 11 am, followed by 2 minutes of silence at 11, followed by some Remembrance Day music.
Speaking of which, last year, Alan Doyle released the video Arms of Home with the Royal Newfoundland Regiment Band. The song was written by Alan and Corey Tetford, another talented East Coast Singer-Songwriter. Corey was in the band Crush back in the day.
