The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth is continuing to share workshops on aquaculture today.
The planning advisory committee is looking to learn more about aquaculture as they consider changes to the land-use by-law and municipal planning strategy to allow different types of aquaculture activities.
Today, Gregor Reid from the Canadian Center for Marine Applied Research will present from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Boreal Salmon will present from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
If the changes are made to the land-use by-law and municipal planning strategy, Boreal Salmon would look to develop an open-flow, land-based salmon farm in Chebogue Point.
And Tom Smith from Sea Farmers NS will present from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
