Bruce Bishop is a native Yarmouthian who has spent many years in the Tourist industry, including time as a Travel Writer. A couple of years ago he decided to try his hand at writing an historical novel, and out of that came “Unconventional Daughters”, a novel set partly in Yarmouth in the early 20th Century.
His follow up novel is “Uncommon Sons”, featuring some of the characters from the first novel. It is set primarily in Halifax in the thirties. Historically accurate, it has compelling characters, a murder mystery, and is a really good read.
I spoke to him about the novel, about self publishing, and what is happening moving forward:

Both novels are available locally. You can also order them through Amazon:
mybook.to/uncommonsons and getbook.at/unconventional
They are available both as physical novels and as kindles.
