You might have heard recently in the news that the Town of Yarmouth is looking to open certain town streets to ATVs. This would potentially mean you could drive four wheelers, side by sides or dirt bikes on the road in certain areas. They have been talking about this for awhile now and I understand that communities like Weymouth are already doing this with some success.
I think it kind of makes sense. More and more communities across the province are opening up their railroad bed trails to ATV use. This means that there is now quite possibly a need for accommodations, food and entertainment for ATV travelers. I know that some people even go across the province on ATVs via trails. It only makes sense to open up certain roads for easy access to accommodations on those trips and as long as the rules of the road are followed, I can’t see any major problems arising. That’s just my opinion however. What do you think about opening town roads to ATVs? What problems could there be? Let me know on our Facebook page and check out the full story from our newsroom HERE
