The Town of Yarmouth has announced the first phase of demolition for 305 Main Street.
The work starts tomorrow and the town is advising residents of a lane and sidewalk closure.
The northbound lane and sidewalk between Brown Street and John Street will be closed starting tomorrow and is set to reopen on Friday, October first, at 6 p.m. The southbound lane and sidewalk will stay open.
Pedestrians will be able to access the doors to CIBC and Iceworks Dairy & Espresso Bar to the north, and Toots Confectionery to the south.
The Town says traffic barricades and detours signs will be in place.
Demolition of 303/305 and 307/309 Main Street was taken over by the Town after the owner did not reply to a request to begin the demolition process.
Earlier this month, the town awarded the demolition contract to Verhagen Demolition in the amount of $242,000.
A total of $440,000 has been allocated by town council for the demolition of 303/305 and 307/309 Main Street.
