I am a big fan of food but I don’t always necessarily like to try new things. I try to make myself eat different things though, especially when it comes to food from different places around the world or from different cultures. I try to live under the rule of “I’ll try anything, once.”
Other than that I seem to like what I like. That does not me that I haven’t tried some unusual things. By unusual, I mean maybe unusual to us but not so to many other different people. I don’t think any food is weird or gross, I might just personally not like it. If a certain group of people or culture eat a certain food, I think they should be respected and not made to feel ashamed about it.
When I was very young. My Mother and I lived in the far North of the North West Territories. While there, we had many Inuit friends. Community suppers were a normal thing and the food at those suppers would consist of seal, whale, caribou and many other meats that some may find a little different. I don’t remember eating these things but I certainly would love to try them again!
What is the most different food you’ve tried? Did you like it and would you recommend it?
