Federal Conservative candidate for MP of West Nova Chris d’Entremont kicked off his campaign with a barbeque last night.
He spoke to supporters at the event and discussed what the results of the recent provincial election could mean for the federal one.
“Having a majority progressive conservative government in Nova Scotia, I believe, is a good step forward of making sure that we have number of seats, conservative seats, here in Nova Scotia.”
The event was held at d’Entremont’s campaign headquarters in Yarmouth.
“We’re all at a point in our communities and in our time, where I think it’s time to change up,” said d’Entremont. “We’ve spent two years locked down, it’s time we find what the next step is, what the next part of our economy and our communities will be.”
d’Entremont is seeking re-election for a second term as MP.
The challengers for West Nova member of parliament, that have declared so far, are Alxys Chamberlain for the Liberals, Scott Spidle for the Peoples Party of Canada and Pat Robar for the Veterans Coalition Party of Canada.
Election day is September 20th.
