A child was rescued from drifting out to sea in Cape Forchu this weekend.
Around 10:20 a.m. on Sunday, Yarmouth Rural RCMP were dispatched after they were notified of a child on an inner tube drifting out to sea near Hwy. 304 in Cape Forchu.
The Yarmouth Fire Department also responded, as well as EHS.
However, as police arrived on scene, they learned the child has been rescued by a local man with a boat.
