Colton Cook and Zack Lefave
Another walk for justice and answers.
The family and friends of Colton Cook and Zack Lefave will be holding a walk on Saturday, August 21st, as well as a barbecue.
Close friend of the Cook family and organizer Crystal Challoner discussed why they wanted to hold the barbecue.
“The barbecue is being held in order to thank our supporters as well as to bring attention to the justice system because its failed, big time.”
She added that they will also be bringing attention to the lack of mental health services offered at the moment when families are told a member has died.
Challoner says the families are grateful to the people who have supported them.
“It’s a small way for us to show appreciation and thank everyone that’s helped in any way,” says Challoner. “Even when people drive by and they beep while we’re walking, that’s support to us.”
Cook’s remains were found on September 30th near the intersection of Saunders Road and Raynardton Road in South Ohio.
Lefave was last seen walking on Highway 334 in Plymouth on January first. He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt and boxers. He’s described as white with brown hair, blue eyes and brown facial hair.
