A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a Dartmouth man after police say guns, a safe and even the piggy bank were taken from a home in Lake Charlotte.
The theft happened on Saturday while the home owner was away. Halifax police say the suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Justin Jody Dempster.
Mounties almost caught Dempster in a traffic stop a few days later in Sheet Harbour but he drove away.
Dempster is described as white, 5-foot-10, 185 lbs, with short hair and brown eyes. Dempster’s tattoos include one on the right side of his neck, which is easily visible. Should you see Dempster, please don’t approach him and call 911.
