
The Nova Scotia Health Authority is announcing two potential COVID-19 exposures, one in Yarmouth and another in Middle West Pubnico.
The Yarmouth exposure took place at Angel’s Nails and Spa (76 Starrs Road) on July 28 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. It’s anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus may develop symptoms up to, and including, August 11. The exposure has been deemed to be low risk.
Anyone who worked at or visited the location is asked to book a COVID-19 test by NSHA. If you do not have symptoms, you do not have to self isolate while waiting for results. You are required to if you have symptoms.
The exposure in Middle West Pubnico has been deemed a moderate risk. It occurred at the Red Cap Restaurant and Motel (1034 Route 335) on July 29th between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. It’s anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus virus at the location may develop symptoms up to, and including, August 12.
For the moderate risk exposure, regardless of whether or not you have symptoms of COVID-19, NSHA says that anyone present at the Red Cap Restaurant and Motel for at least 15 minutes at the exposure times are required to be tested and self isolate while waiting for test results. If you receive a negative test result you don’t need need to continue isolating, but you are required to get retested six to eight days and 12 to 14 days after exposure.
NSHA will contact you if you receive a positive test result.
