
It was a busy weekend for local minor baseball teams.
The Chris Scott Construction U15 Gateways played in a qualifier tournament, and ended up with three wins.
The Gateways won 15-0 against Hammonds Plains, 12-2 against the Tri County Rangers and 3-2 against Dartmouth. They’ve secured a spot in the tier 1 provincials, on Labour Day weekend.
The team is thanking parents and volunteers for their hard work.
Meanwhile, the Yarmouth 11U A Gateways took to the road for wins over the Cole Harbour Red Cardinals 10-4 and 9-7 on Saturday and against the Cole Harbour Black Cardinals 10-2 and 7-4 on Sunday.
The U18 Triple A league saw the Clark’s Harbour Foggies play a double header against Halifax.
They won the first game 3-1 and won the second game 7-1.
