An air quality advisory is in place for Nova Scotia.
Smoke has been creeping east the last few days due to raging wildfires in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and B.C.
Environment Canada expects the smoke will linger on the mainland for the rest of the day on Wednesday and then push through to Cape Breton.
It’s expected the smoke will clear by Thursday night.
