Voters in Nova Scotia will have several options to vote safely when the next election is called including mail in ballots and the option to vote early.
Elections Nova Scotia says people are encouraged to vote early or apply to vote by mail using a write-in ballot.
There’s an on-line application for a write-in ballot and they are available now at electionsnovascotia.ca or voters can call Elections Nova Scotia at 1-800-565-1504 to have an application sent to them.
When the election is called, voters who have applied early will be asked to verify their information and then Elections Nova Scotia will send them a write-in ballot kit with instructions.
During the election, information about the write-in ballot process and important deadlines will be posted.
Voters will also be able to vote safely in-person before election day at any returning office or early voting location in the province. On election day, voters will be able to vote safely in-person using the traditional paper ballot at their assigned voting location or the returning office in their district.
