It’s going to be a warm few days! The Tri Counties are under a heat warner right now and it’s expected tp be up to 39 degrees tomorrow with the humidex! In hot weather like this it’s important to stay hydrated and to stay as cool has possible. That can be tricky if you live in a older home that isn’t insulated the best or that is just always hot. If you don’t have an air condition unit or a heat pump staying cool inside can be a challenge! Luckily for you I have some suggestions for you. You might already be doing some of these things to beat the heat but if not try them out!
Tips To Keep Your House Cool In The Summer
- Keep your blinds or curtains closed during the day and your windows closed
- Run your ceiling fan counter clockwise in the Summer to let the air flow down
- Hang out downstairs or in your basement
- At night, when the air is cooler, open your windows
- Check out this DIY air conditioner
Those are a few simple cool down hacks. Use those to keep your house cool over the Summer and especially during this heat wave! Do you have any more suggestions?
