Meteghan RCMP have charged a 44-year-old man in Maxwellton with a firearms offence.
On June 24th at 8:15 a.m., police executed a search warrant at a home in Maxwellton in relation to a drug trafficking investigation.
They found a loaded handgun, numerous rifles, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and cash.
Police say the man was arrested at the scene without incident and was charged with careless use of a firearm.
He was later released on conditions and will appear in court at a later date. RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
