MLA Colton LeBlanc will be the PC party candidate for the restored constituency of Argyle in the next provincial election.
He was elected in 2019 during a by-election as MLA for Argyle-Barrington.
“It’s truly been a privilege to represent the constituency of Argyle-Barrington,” says LeBlanc. “I’m very much looking forward to continuing my hard work as the next MLA for Argyle. It’s going to be great to have Argyle back as its own constituency.”
He also shared what his focus will be leading up the next election
“It’s very clear speaking with my constituents and speaking with healthcare professionals that healthcare needs some serious attention,” says LeBlanc. “We’ve been, as a PC party, leading from opposition and presenting a number of plans. Without health, what do we have?”
LeBlanc currently serves as the PC Critic for Pre-Hospital & Preventative Care and Acadian Affairs and Francophonie. He is also a member of the Standing Committee on Health.
A provincial election is expected to be called sometime over the next year.
