A 42 year old Shelburne County man was arrested earlier this week after a disturbance in Jordan Falls.
Neil James Veno remains in custody and will appear in Shelburne Provincial Court on June 24th.
Just before 9 p.m Monday, RCMP were notified that a man with a chainsaw was outside a home on Highway 3 and threatening two men inside.
The man damaged two vehicles with the chainsaw, and fled into the woods.
Police say they made contact with the man over the phone, during which he threatened RCMP members and refused to turn himself in.
He then went to another residence and threatened the homeowner before fleeing into the woods again.
Shelburne RCMP along with the emergency response team and police dogs contained the area and searched for the man, he was eventually located inside an abandoned vehicle and taken into custody.
Veno faces charges including uttering threats, assault with a weapon, resisting arrest, mischief to property and failing to comply with release order conditions.
