The former managing director of the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation is looking back on her years of service.
Paulette Sweeney-Goodwin is reflecting on her 18 years with the foundation and what she enjoyed most of all.
“When I look at it, I look at our donors, our volunteers, our board and staff. There’s just so much in there,” says Sweeney-Goodwin. “I think the relationships that developed between all these entities just means so much to me. Having that support that’s there.”
She added that the donation of $22 million to the foundation was a stand out gift.
Sweeney-Goodwin is also offering some words of encouragement for her successor, Mary Surette, who she says it perfectly placed to take on the role.
“I met Mary in 2007 and from the moment she walked into the foundation office and introduced herself, there was just something, a spark in her personality,” says Sweeney-Goodwin. “As we chatted, I had that sense right away that she would be a perfect fit.”
