
RCMP have released information about an armed robbery that took place yesterday at Toots Confectionary in Yarmouth.
Police say a man entered the store on Main Street, made a purchase and then approached the employee behind the counter.
The man showed the employee a knife, took cash from the register and left the store on foot.
RCMP responded around 4:30 p.m. yesterday. They say no one was physically injured in the incident.
Police have not identified the suspect at this time. The investigation is continuing, they’re asking for anyone with information or may have witnessed the incident to call Yarmouth Town RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
The suspect is described by police as around 30 years old, just under six feet tall with a slender build. He was wearing jeans, a dark coloured hoodie and a cloth mask.
