RCMP have released information about a homicide in Yarmouth that took place last night.
Around 11:30 p.m., Yarmouth Town RCMP were called to a home on King St. where a man was suffering from a gunshot wound. In a release, police say they located a 41-year-old man outside the home. EHS tried to treat the man but he succumbed to his injuries.
RCMP are continuing to investigate with the RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit leading the investigation. The RCMP Forensic Identification Section, Yarmouth GIS and Yarmouth Town members are assisting.
There has been no word of any persons of interest or arrests.
Chester Street has been blocked off since early morning and RCMP say it is still closed.
