Everybody has a phones in their pocket now and while that is convenient it can also be a nuisance! With more phones that means there are more numbers and with more numbers comes more mistaken numbers. You probably get quite a few wrong number calls. I know I do! Sometimes the person on the other end of the line will literally start talking to me as if they’ve known me for years it’s the strangest thing.
Once my Dad kept getting a call from a guy asking him to go fishing. After this happened several times my Dad thought that it must be a prank call but apparently the guy and his fishing buddy where known to pull pranks on each other and he thought my Dad was playing a joke on him! It can be super annoying when stuff like this happens but usually I find it kind of funny and interesting!
In smaller towns it can even help people catch up with long lost friends! My grandparents received a call once from a wrong number and they ended up having an hour l0ng conversation with this person that they had know but who had called them by mistake! Accidents like that are pretty cool! Most of the time the person really didn’t mean to call you and are probably embarrassed so cut them some slack! Here at the station we get lots of interesting calls and wrong numbers a lot. Check out one of my favorite calls below!
