
Police have charged a therapist in Yarmouth with sexually assaulting his patient and believe there may be more victims.
46-year-old Dominic Deveau of Yarmouth was charged after his female patient reported that he had sexually assaulted her to Yarmouth Municipal RCMP on May 6.
Deveau was arrested on May 14 after a police investigation.
He was released by a Justice of the Peace on conditions including that he does not provide counselling or therapeutic services in a professional capacity.
Police say that the investigation is continuing and believe that there may be more victims. They’re asking anyone with information to contact the the Yarmouth Municipal RCMP General Investigation Section.
Deveau is scheduled to appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court on July 19.
He has already faced sexual assault charges. In April of 2019, Deveau was charged after police investigated a woman’s claim that she met him at a coffee shop, drove out of town with him, where he assaulted her.
