
A Digby man has been charged for driving a transport truck impaired near Yarmouth.
On May 6th Yarmouth Rural RCMP received multiple complaints of a transport truck driving dangerously and erratically on Highway 103.
Police found the transport truck and conducted a traffic stop. The 50-year-old driver displayed signs of impairment. He was arrested and was taken to the Yarmouth RCMP detachment where he provided breath samples of 190 mg% and 180 mg%, more than twice the legal limit.
The driver has been released from custody and faces charges of Impaired Operation of a Conveyance and Operating a Conveyance with a Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80 mg%.
He’ll appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court at a later date.
