The Town of Yarmouth will be temporarily closing town hall to the public starting tomorrow.
The Town cites the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in the province as the reason for the closure.
People who pay their water and tax bills by visiting town hall are being reminded they can do so through their bank, and payments can be dropped off at the drop box at the front entrance of Town Hall.
The staff will work remotely during the closure. All council and advisory committee meetings will be held virtually and presentations to council are suspended until further notice. The town is encouraging people use online forms, traditional mail, phone and email to contact them.
Parking permits will be available through the HotSpot app.
The planned reopening date is May 12th.
