Yarmouth RCMP are investigating a serious assault that took place in Wedgeport.
At around 9:55 last Friday, police were called to a home in Wedgeport and found a man with serious injuries. They were told that two men and a woman had broken into the victims home, assaulted him with a weapon and stole jewelry from him. The suspects fled in a vehicle, the victim was taken to hospital by EHS for treatment.
Yesterday one of the men and the woman were located in Bridgewater and were arrested without incident. They’re both in custody and will appear in Yarmouth provincial court later today.
Police are still looking for the second male suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
