Yarmouth Water Utility will start the annual water main flushing program on Monday.
The flushing will start in the village of South Ohio, North Ohio Crossroad, Hillside Estates Subdivision, Park Drive and the Sprucehills Subdivision.
Flushing for the Town of Yarmouth and the Acadia First Nation Reserve will take place after that.
Flushing will take place daily between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. with the exception of the Vancouver Street area and the Dayton/Hebron area which will be flushed at night between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
The Town of Yarmouth says customers can expect some discoloration and fluctuation in water pressure and they’re asked to not wash clothes during the flushing.
It will take around three weeks to complete the program according to the Town.
