Five new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the province Thursday.
Department of Health and Wellness officials say three are in Central Zone, two are in Eastern Zone, and all are travel related.
Provincial data shows 40 active infections.
As well, there has been another UK variant case identified. The person is a resident, but one who is living and working outside the province.
Officials say there are no known close contacts here.
They say this brings the total number of UK variant cases to 23.
