The U18 Yarmouth Mariners began a best of three series with Clare-Digby for the AVMHL gold medal last night at Universite Sainte-Anne arena.
Clare-Digby took the contest 3-1, with goals from Joel LeBlanc (2) and Ethan Doucet. Doucet also picked up two assists, and Dustin Maillet had two assists, along with Brooke Chafe, who had an assist.
Yarmouth’s goal was scored by Carter Kristensen from Ben MacDonald and Toby Dentremont.
Game 2 is tomorrow, 3:30 p.m. at Mariners Centre.
