The Yarmouth and Area Minor Baseball Association held its annual general meeting last night.
President Richard Gosling says new members were elected to the executive, and a lot of interest was shown in the upcoming season.
COVID-19 lockdowns forced the postponement of most of last season.
Gosling says he is confident things will get going on time this year.
“It might not be as normal as it was a couple of summers ago, but I think we’ll be a little more prepared this year. We are really looking forward to it. Last year, we had our challenges. You could only have so many players on the field for practices and games, and we had to socially distance the parents. But overall, we were just happy to be out and playing some ball.”
No official protocols have been released from Baseball Nova Scotia as of yet for this year.
Gosling says registration is set to begin online on April 1st.
He says they’re also looking for coaches to volunteer this summer.
