
A Yarmouth man is facing multiple charges after a string of incidents this month led to his arrest.
On March 8 RCMP responded to a breach of conditions complaint on Main Street. The man was identified and police began trying to locate him.
On March 20 police responded to a complaint that a van had been stolen from a company on Starrs Rd. Two days later Queens District RCMP spotted the stolen vehicle travelling on Highway 3 in Brooklyn. The driver fled into the nearby woods. Police searched the area but could not find the driver.
On Tuesday Kentville police stopped a vehicle and determined that it had been stolen from the Bridgewater area. The driver was arrested for possession of stolen property.
Police have determined that 23 year-old Ryan Fancy of Yarmouth was responsible for the incidents. The charges against Fancy are:
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle
- Assault
- Resist Arrest x2
- Breach of Conditions of Undertaking x4
Fancy appeared in Kentville Provincial Court on Tuesday and was held until his next court appearance today.
