Donations for the Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk have been counted.
23,994 dollars were raised during the event.
The Tri County Women’s Centre, who host the event alongside SHYFT Youth Services, says that they exceeded their goal by nine percent this year.
Their goal was to raise 22,000 dollars. The money will go towards TCWC and SHYFT’s clients. They’ve said that this time of year is notorious for low levels of giving.
Due to COVID-19, the event was held virtually this year and participants shared photos and videos of their walks online.
TCWC says they are looking forward to next years walk.
