
Main street looking North. A winter storm barreled in by Sunday evening, bringing blustery winds and plenty of snow.
As forecast, a wallop of winter weather has hit the Tri-Counties.
Conditions in Yarmouth as of 7:00 p.m. are blizzard-like, with poor visibility and snow-covered roads.
Crews from Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal were out throughout the Tri-Counties by at least noon on Sunday, long before the storm hit.
Anti-icing measures were seen on Highway 103.
So far, no school cancellations reported for Monday morning though local Regional Centres for Education typically make the call by 6 a.m. on that school day.

NSCC campuses in Yarmouth (Burridge), Shelburne, and Digby satellite are all closed for Monday.
No word yet from Université Sainte-Anne.
Provincial government offices across the province will delay opening until noon on Monday due to the weather conditions.
Y95 will continue to monitor for any changes and update as soon as they come in.
There is one small local power outage reported as of 7:30 p.m. in Mavilette, cause unknown.
As of 8:25, a large outage in Bear Point reported, affecting 102 customers.
Estimated restoration time is 1:00 a.m.
The Town of Yarmouth advises that winter parking restrictions are in effect – no parking on streets between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
The Municipality of the District of Argyle notes that garbage collection scheduled for Monday, February 8th has been rescheduled.

Environment Canada still has a winter storm warning in effect.
We could see up to 50cm of snow by the time the event moves out of the area on Monday morning.
Expect wind gusting up to 80 km/h throughout the night, 90 km/h along the coast.
Elsewhere, HRM pulled all transit services at 7 p.m. on Sunday in advance of the storm, with no service expected before 10 a.m. at the earliest.
Additionally, all schools in the Halifax Regional Centre for Education were closed by Sunday night in advance of the storm.
Irving Shipbuilding announced on Sunday night that they have suspended all production activities at the Halifax Shipyard, Marine Fabricators, and Woodside Industries as of midnight.
