The province has released its five-year Highway Improvement plan.
Nova Scotia will invest almost $500 million to improve and upgrade roads, highways and bridges across the province this year.
The plan includes more than 150 major construction and improvement projects for the coming year.
Noticeably absent from the five-year plan are improvements or changes to Exit 32 on highway 103.
Argyle-Barrington PC MLA Colton LeBlanc has been pushing for improvements at that exit since his by-election win in 2019. He discussed the absence of Exit 32 from the plan.
“During the budget estimates I had somewhat of a commitment, I believe, from the minister of transportation and infrastructure renewal to have this much needed safety improvement to our region be included in the five year highway plan.” said LeBlanc.
He picked up the file from his predecessor, PC MLA Chris d’Entremont, who had flagged the issue as far back as 2015.
