Heartbreak and frustration following the announcement that RCMP has ended the search for the bodies of five fishermen lost in the Bay of Fundy.
The Chief William Saulis went down off the coast of Delaps Cove on the morning of December 15th.
Last week, it was announced recovery crews had found the scallop dragger with the help of sonar exploration, more than two kilometers from Delaps Cove, and 60m below the surface.
On Saturday the R-C-M-P said it would not continue attempts to recover the bodies due to the high risk posed to divers.
Local reaction has been mixed, with some noting that the tides and depth in the area pose too great a risk to divers, while others are demanding that other avenues be explored in order to confirm whether or not the men are still aboard the vessel.
