Two rapid COVID-19 pop-up testing sites are coming to Yarmouth this week.
Both will take place at the old YMCA building at 275 Main Street. The first will be tomorrow from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The second will be the next day, Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Yarmouth Mayor, Pam Mood, explained why the sites are being set up.
“The medical group reached out just to see if we were interested in having a site here. It’s just a safety measure.” said Mood. “COVID-19 certainly isn’t here, that’s not what they’re saying. They’re just preventative measures.”
She added that the sites are for people without symptoms who are seeking a test.
