Hospital goers in Digby will need to use caution next week as work gets underway on replacing the exterior lighting.
The Nova Scotia Health Authority says that beginning on Monday, January 4th, workers will remove old exterior lighting, light poles, and excavate underground wiring around the outside of Digby General Hospital.
New, energy-efficient LED lighting will be installed in its place.
Starting on Tuesday, the driveway in front of the main hospital entrance will be closed to allow excavation work.
It’s expected the job will take about a week, depending on the weather.
Traffic will be diverted around to the lower, rear entrance to the parking area.
Patients and visitors can still use the front-main entrance to enter the hospital, but vehicles doing drop-offs will be re-directed.
