Some technical glitches have caused frustration for fish harvesters trying to renew licenses online before a looming deadline, but the website is now good to go.
Both the Personal Fisher Registration and 2020 License Fees must be paid by December 31st.
A spokesperson with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans acknowledged that the National Online Licensing System was experiencing a technical issue, but the site is now reportedly working normally.
Harvesters should be able to renew their licenses online without issue.
If there are still issues surrounding renewals, harvesters should contact the department directly via e-mail at fishing-peche@dfo-mpo.gc.ca.
