The plows are out, the kids are headed home from school : it’s a storm day.
A snowfall warning is in effect for the Tri-Counties, South Shore and beyond – expect up to 30cm to fall by the time the storm tapers off on Friday.
Snow started coming down in the Tri-Counties early Thursday morning, which has prompted a warning of deteriorating road conditions from Yarmouth RCMP Traffic Services.
They ask that anyone travelling drive with extreme caution as slippery conditions and reduced visibility are factors.
Meantime, classes are out two hours early for both the Tri-County Regional Centre for Education and the CSAP.
There is some good news: Nova Scotia Power reports no outages in the area as of noon on Thursday.
