Are you a fan of Christmas movies? I am, but more so – the classic movies. The one’s I grew up with. Every year they’re replayed on television and I can’t help but tune in and get captured in the magic once again. My husband only believes in watching on Christmas movie: Die Hard. But for me, these are on my list year after year.
The Grinch(Cartoon)
Classic and cute, the original How the Grinch Stole Christmas warms my heart (and maybe makes it grow a bit too) every time.
The Sound of Music
This may seem like an odd choice at Christmas but every Christmas eve I watched this movie with my Baba(Ukrainian for grandmother). It was shown on CBC and if they played it on Christmas eve it must be a Christmas movie!
A Christmas Story
“You’ll shoot your eye out!” This Christmas classic has me laughing each year. From the scene with the lamp, Randy not being able to put his arms down in the snowsuit and the soap in the mouth, this movie is so good!
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
Could anything else go wrong for Clark? And could the family tension be any more relatable? Underappreciated at work and just trying to make Christmas a special one, this film is great!
Miracle on 34th Street
What is more magical then reigniting the magic of the Christmas season and the belief in Santa? I love both the 1947 and 1994 version of this movie.
What Christmas movie do you watch year after year?
